The Command division represents the offices and staff of the Command Officers, specifically the CO and XO of the station. Although the Second and Third Officers of the station are also technically Command Officers as well, they are traditionally held as co-lateral positions by other Division Heads, who already have their own staffs.
The Command staff may include Yoemen or other non-commissioned Officers who serve in various assistant capacities to the CO and XO, as well as any personal staff desired (such as the servers and chef of the CO’s Mess). The CO or XO may also select a junior Officer (grade Ensign or Lt. Jg.) to act as a personal Secretary. All these positions serve to carry out the top-level administration of the Starbase, interacting and coordinating with all other departments and civilian organizations.
