"This was formally known as Antarctica... many thousands and thousands of years ago... but now it's just ARCTICA.  How this came about is unknown; maybe something for the players to figure out?  Somehow human races survived and other races returned (or have evolved), along with many nasty monsters, to walk the land.

The land itself has been slow to develop... many set backs have kept the population lower then expected.  So there are many areas undeveloped or explored.  The areas to have established themselves have stayed within traditional behavior to maintain their civilization... being very grateful for what they do have.  Great nation vs nation wars have not occurred and are unlikely, but not impossible.

Since this game takes place in Thunder Canyon (found on the large island in the top left quadrate of the map) the remainder of the land isn't too detailed.  Over the months (or years) I hope this won't be the case... as there is so much to explore and do.  To get more detail... check out the MAP section.

For now, get acquainted with Thunder Canyon and it's immediate surroundings.  There's plenty to absorb... and time never moves to quickly in Play By E-mail games... so the extra detail isn't necessary (for now). The characters will mainly be coming from around Thunder Canyon and if a player wants their character to have traveled far to get here contact myself and we can come to some agreement.  I leave much in the hands of the player's creatively.  Good luck." - GM
